Words that still the mind and refresh the soul

If you find it difficult to still your mind and settle your spirit, don’t be discouraged. If you find your mind wandering, just let the thought go and refocus on connecting with God.

Here are some scriptures to meditate on to help you focus on God. Choose one or part of one to think about, memorise and meditate on as you settle your mind and focus on connecting with God.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life

Psalm 46:10 – Be still and know I am God
